A lot of people disagree with me but I do not view white people socialized into whiteness in Europe the same as I view white people socialized into whiteness in the U.S.

I think there is something about white Europeans who are surrounded by their own culture that creates a stabilizing effect. I think knowing your ancestral roots and where you belong causes them to focus on their own lives rather than race. I feel that for “white” Europeans race is like number 6 on their list of importance. Where as “white” Americans would place it at number 3 and for some it’s the number 1 thing on their mind(people like Dylan Roof etc).

Just imagine being surrounded by so many monuments and different types of architecture that reflect your cultural history. Also a shared language. They don’t have as strong of an urge to “other” people because they aren’t holding onto some tiny sliver of belonging themselves.
