I genuinely wonder how anyone could ever conclude this? Is it a lack of education about the past? I mean why would they think that the group that was being lynched and enslaved was the problem and not the people doing it? It’s easy for people to conclude the Nazis were the problem and not the Jews? Where is the breakdown?

I’m genuinely asking because I’ve only ever heard white people say this. People of color as well as Black Americans have internalized many aspects of white supremacy but I’ve literally never even heard this from Candace Owens. She might say “oh black culture is the reason black people are not succeeding” but I’ve never heard her say anything along the lines of “racism is black people’s problem.”

What goes on in a white person’s brain? What logical steps do they take to get here?
