I have struggled with this same dilemma. On the one hand I was adopted into an white American status quo family. I can at any moment stop caring about race and move on with my life. This would be like waking up with my heart stopping every morning and having to jump start it before I got out of bed. I can never actively ignore my conscience for any sustained period of time. It is not who I am and I have educated myself through reading to the point that I now have a responsibility to always act on the light of my conscience in every situation I come across. People don’t understand. This life is temporary. This is not religion and this is not dogma or confusion. This is the eternal wisdom of the divine self. To act upon the light of your own conscience is the only salvation offered to humanity.

Regardless of this invention called capital. Or this life sentence known as the societal structure. Everyone has a conscience and a light by which to read it by. To deny any human being dignity respect or a chance at life is to ignore the light of one’s own conscience and to forfeit any hope of conscious salvation.
