I think the woman down there that mentioned men like women who don’t notice them. There might be some truth to that. Men have always been sexually interested. Since I was like eight. Which is a whole bigger American societal problem that no one is addressing here. I’m way more alarmed by how many men are only interested in tween bodies than I am if they want mine.

I find sexual and societal expectations exhausting. It feels like the most stressful job to me to have to stop reading a book about the divine mysteries. To be interrupted from contemplating our relationship to the stars for someone to text me “hey you want to hang out.” “Once I get through my 20 books sure.” But I end up going anyway because to me love and relationships are managing someone else’s happiness and feelings(don’t know why they can’t manage them on their own). I want to figure out why I’m alive not get distracted by someone else trying to tell me why I’m alive.

I relate to your post because I gave up on men when I was like eight for obvious reasons.

The truth is that most men are addicted to porn and porn only sells one thing. Blonde, white, slutty and increasingly younger with ever year. So it’s not surprising most men in our society look for this archetype first. They’ve been brainwashed by Disney Princesses and Porn from the time most of them are nine or ten.

As women I think we just have to realize that men are not a necessity in any way. If they want to only sleep with people who look like Cameron Diaz. Let her have them. Seriously do you honestly want men like that bothering you anyway? Have sympathy for the girls who look like Cameron Diaz and what they have to deal with and just be happy you’re free.

Your life is your own. You can pick up and go to Europe. You can travel to Egypt or go out whenever you want. To me not being tied to another human is freeing me to live life.

I know this might sound non conformist but honestly not having to deal with the poor quality of most men is a blessing not a curse. Weep for the Cameron Diaz’s of the world and what they have to put up with.
