I think you might be mixing up your time periods hun. The British Empire came after the Roman Empire. They just used the same infrastructure and roads the Romans had already built.

In fact they were not able to figure out or maintain the hydraulics systems the Romans had already built. So plumbing was a technology lost when the British barbarians invaded.

So like I said what have they built?
