I view France and the USA’s current economic relationship with Haiti as a major qualification for why I still view them as colonial powers.
Britain has pulled back over 50% of its territories that were gained through imperialism. The British have made tremendous efforts towards decolonization and they should be applauded for their morality.
I can’t say the same about my country or France for that matter. Money is not morality. It never has been and it never will be. I’m talking about human beings not money or capital.
Swedish people are trying to protect their culture. That’s different than Americans trying to protect racism. Culture has nothing to do with race. It’s just what practices emerge from geographical stressors.
