I'm confused he was a German immigrant? If so that's shocking to me. I guess if he has lived here long enough to be brainwashed by the American system then maybe it makes sense. It's just the things he was saying sounded like something a good ole American born dumb a** would say not an educated European. Maybe he should take a few trips back there and reconnect with his culture a little bit. I'll pay for the flight. I loved your story though. You are good at painting scenery in the mind of the reader. Something I'm trying to get better at.
