It has come to my attention recently that “Caucasian” is an outdated erroneous term from the 18th century. It was coined by Blumenbach the man who invented the pseudoscientific racial classifications that the U.S adopted to justify slavery. This is why to this day the classification of white(Caucasian) also includes some North Africans, Armenians, Persians, Arabs, and North Indians on our U.S Census.

The people you are referring to in your article are European Americans. I completely agree with you that white is just a mental illness some people of European ancestry have.

The reason keeping up with anthropology is so important is because anthropologists have agreed since the 1950s that race is in fact a mythology.

Further more in 1998 The American Anthropological Association released a statement that race is in fact a myth. It is not based in biology.

Just 5 years after the American Anthropological Association released their statement on race.

The completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 confirmed humans are 99.9% identical at the DNA level and there is no genetic basis for race.

Currently in 2024 we now know that

All humans are 99.9 % genetically similar. The less than 1% variation between different groups are cosmetic differences and have nothing to do with behavior, mental or physical ability at all. As some racists like to claim.

This is what European Americans who mistakenly believe they are “white” need to hear. They have been lied to by the U.S government to believe they are a separate race and or species from people of color. This is a lie. A fabrication invented by an uneducated racist group of Europeans from 100s of years ago. That the U.S government then adopted to justify violence and unequal treatment.

This also has the effect of making European Americans look very, very backward to the rest of the world. Most other European run countries have citizenry who know that race is a mythology that was debunked 70 some odd years ago. So while yes Europeans in ….I don’t know ……Denmark. Know that they have European ancestry they would look at you concerned if you referred to them as a separate white race.

Also just being candid here. Europeans are not all from the Caucus mountains that’s ridiculous! But in the 18th century when that fantasy was invented I’m sure it made sense to someone. But so did putting leeches on people!

As a U.S population we need to do better. We need to spend our free time educating ourselves about the system we live in. Because we are now all aware that the U.S system only educates the wealthy in this country as it pertains to how the system works. Contrasted with Europe where they have education more fairly distributed across their populations.

I suspect this is because many of these European countries have greater homogenous populations than the U.S. So equal dignity and respect is given to all members of society. Where as in the U.S there are too many POC that could benefit from that great education if it was distributed more widely. This has the byproduct of also miseducating any so called “white people” who happen to be living near too many “non white people” or are economically aligned with them.

Anyway, I agree with your points that pretending to be a “white” person is a sort of very odd make believe game that some people of European ancestry like to play. The fact that the U.S government is sort of egging them on with racial classifications from the 18th century is weird. The fact that people die over this is why we many of us are not particularly proud to be American right now. Saying it’s the rich elite or whatever who are playing the population against each other doesn’t really make sense to me anymore. Because this has been going on for thousands of years at this point!

This play acting even in government buildings with the wigs and powder. It’s strange behavior. In my personal life I really don’t play this game with them. When they try to get me to engage in this make believe “but I’m a white person”thing. I just sort of ignore them until I can get to a safe place. Weirdos
