Not to be rude but they can also be very eccentric and backward. The part about alcohol consumption is also not very accurate. They can be somewhat cold toward their children as well. It’s a leftover attitude from the Victorian era I think. New money is probably more annoying in public whereas old money is more annoying in private. They are also too judgmental. I don’t know why people fight so hard to emulate segments of the population that don’t even want them around. What’s with all the fawning over wealthy people in the comments. They are very exclusionary and regardless of tradition that is not right no matter how wealthy you are. Politely whispering that someone is on the out ? Get real that’s just rude no matter how quietly it’s done.
