Well duh but that is not what I’m getting at. Why were they designated under the title of European as a blanket term? Why didn’t each ethnicity keep their original culture as separate from their conquerors?

There are

Greeks

Romans

Irish

Scottish

French ( debatable because of Normans)

These are all separate ethnicities and cultures.

But they all now are under the blanket term European. Region isn’t descriptive enough. Because some people don’t consider people of color from that region to be Europeans? They have to call them Afro Germans or whatever they don’t just call them Europeans.

I’m shocked to find out Aristotle was involved in the shaping of Western culture! Thanks for letting me know. Because I know absolutely nothing about Ethics or Symposiums. I’m just a person of color after all. No Ovates or Taciturn historians for me.
