You’re right, the two must be correlative! If white kids watch Pocohontas and for some reason happen to identify with the Native Americans in the film. The film can’t possibly have any other negative connotations like the backstory of white settlers colonizing indigenous tribes…..

And of course framing the discussion of racism around how it makes white kids feel when they watch it definitely shows you have grasped the issue really well!
